Why Murfreesboro students choose true Muay Thai over fitness-only shadowboxing.
The Art of Eight Limbs
Traditional boxing uses only fists. Authentic Muay Thai utilizes punches, kicks, knees, and elbows. You learn complete striking mechanics, defensive movement, and balance with real-world martial arts technique.
High-Calorie Conditioning
Thai pad work and heavy bag drills deliver one of the most intense, full-body cardiovascular workouts available. Burn fat, build lean core muscle, and release daily stress on the pads.
Zero Forced Sparring
Never worry about getting hit on your first day. Our beginner classes focus 100% on proper stance, footwork, and hitting pads and bags safely. Sparring is strictly optional and reserved for advanced students.
What to Expect in Your First Striking Class
We guide you through the basics so you get an incredible workout from day one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from beginners joining our Murfreesboro Muay Thai classes.
Do I need my own boxing gloves or equipment to try a class?
Not for your free trial. Just wear athletic gym clothes (t-shirt/rashguard and shorts). We can provide loaner gloves and hand protection for your initial session. We train barefoot on sanitized mats.
Will I get hit or hurt in class?
No. Beginner sessions are non-contact. All striking is directed at heavy bags, focus mitts, and Thai pads held by coaches and partners. Safety and technique come first.
How does this compare to fitness "cardio kickboxing"?
Unlike franchised cardio-kickboxing classes that punch the air without coaching, we teach authentic combat sports technique and power generation. You get the same sweat and calorie burn, but with real striking skill and self-defense capability.
Are classes co-ed and beginner-friendly?
Yes. Our classes feature men and women of all experience and fitness levels, from complete beginners who have never thrown a punch to experienced martial artists.
